Given the social inequalities and the systemic complexity of the educational phenomenon, we propose a dynamic design that allows expanding the educational offer and facing the complexity of emerging phenomena. Our aim is to promote the development of dynamic educational designs in the hands of teachers of any educational level, under a systemic vision that addresses the emerging problems of their teaching practice. In order to do this, we present a longitudinal study illustrating the transformations in the design of a course that has been taught for more than 20 years (conceived from the teaching perspective and under a socio-constructivist conception). This analysis reveals that the course design constitutes an important factor for the regulation of the educational process and the stimulation of the teachers creative and innovative role, while providing the opportunity to transform both school and distance teaching systems thus allowing higher enrolment levels, less school abandonment, and a better quality in education.
