MANZO SANCHEZ, Gilberto; CARRILLO MADRIGAL, Heriberto; GUZMAN GONZALEZ, Salvador y OROZCO SANTOS, Mario. Sensitivity Analysis in vitro of Mycosphaerella fijiensis, Causal Agent of Black Sigatoka of Banana to the Fungicides Benomyl, Propiconazole and Azoxystrobin. Rev. mex. fitopatol [online]. 2012, vol.30, n.1, pp.81-85. ISSN 2007-8080.
The isolates of were obtained from the banana-producing regions Mycosphaerella fijiensis belonging to Chiapas, Tabasco, Michoacan, Colima and Guerrero states. The fungicides evaluated were benomyl, propiconazole and azoxystrobin. The susceptibility analysis showed the loss of fungicide susceptibility of 10 isolates to benomyl, seven to propiconazole and nine to azoxystrobin. These isolates were able to grow with fungicide concentration that highlights the loss of sensitivity. According to the results of this research, it is important to respect the recommendations for the use of fungicides to avoid failures in the control of the disease. In the case of benomyl, its use should be restricted in locations that had resistant isolates.
