SANCHEZ AMARO, Luis. The siege and occupation of Morelia during the delahuertista rebellion, January 1924. Relac. Estud. hist. soc. [online]. 2016, vol.37, n.146, pp.177-212. ISSN 2448-7554.

This paper examines how the siege and occupation of Morelia were effectuated during the Delahuertista rebellion in Michoacán in January, 1924, and the repercussions of those events for the ensuing development of military strategies by both President Obregón and General Enrique Estrada, the military commander of the rebels in western Mexico. It also analyzes the actions of General Manuel N. López, the state governor, Sidronio Sánchez Pineda, and others who emerged to defend the site, as well as the principle events that took place after the occupation of the capital city by rebel forces.
