Resumen
DANSAC, Yael. "Son más que piedras": una biografía cultural de Los Guachimontones de Teuchitlán, basada en testimonios orales. Trace (Méx. DF) [online]. 2013, n.64, pp.55-68. ISSN 2007-2392.
In the cultural biographies about material elements we explore the role of objects in social dynamics, understanding that the life cycle of material culture is rooted in the social and symbolic world of the people who interact with it. Using the oral testimonies collected among a sample of residents in Teuchitlan, this article describes the cultural biography of the archaeological site called Los Guachimontones, a group of pre-Columbian architectural structures whose unique shapes and historical importance have positioned them as a tourist and cultural destination. Three main periods of the site are reconstructed using the voices of the respondents, whom interweave their own biographies with the site's history.
