Resumen

CADENA LOPEZ, Aydé; RAMOS LUNA, Lorena Litai  y  RIVERA GONZALEZ, Gibrán. Open data in organizational studies: Reflections and implications. Trace (Méx. DF) [online]. 2022, n.82, pp.41-65.  Epub 02-Dic-2022. ISSN 2007-2392.  https://doi.org/10.22134/trace.82.2022.819.

Open research data have gained importance in the knowledge era, as they promote the development of science; however, open data sharing is not common in the social sciences. In view of this, the objective is to reflect on the possible implications of sharing open data in organizational studies. The relevance lies in the fact that this field has particularities that allow the introduction of this practice, but also generate questions about its scope. The reflection focuses on the research designs, the type of data generated and the role of the researcher’s subjectivity in this field. It is concluded that this work introduces the topic of open data in organizational studies, encourages the debate on the implications and gives way to a future research agenda, where the willingness of researchers in the field to share open data is addressed.
