SHOSHAN, Nitzan. The Temporalities of the Crisis in Mexico City's Santa Fe District. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2015, vol.30, n.84, pp.9-38. ISSN 2007-8358.

Based on ethnographic field work done jointly with local activists in Mexico City's Santa Fe area, this article argues that a particular temporal configuration of the crisis and trauma has a lasting, negative impact on commitments to cultural and political projects. The author seeks to contribute to contemporary academic debates about the transformation of temporal imaginaries and experiences, as well as to academic critiques of neoliberal urban governance and to participatory democracy in cities.
