The amebiasic infection of the central nervous system is very often preceded from a lung or liver abscesses. The amebic brain abscess is rare and only had been reported in the world around 100 cases. Most of the reports are from the TAC era, there are very few MR and in both studies cannot be distinguish from other abscesses. The diagnosis is made by histopathology. The election treatment is metronidazol. We report the case of a multicentric amebic brain abscess without liver or lung infection. It was treated with intravenous metronidazol after the histopathological diagnosis of the specimen. The patient died from complications of the disease.
