Having digital resources such as apps or mobile applications with an educational purpose and used as a complementary tool to teaching, makes the teaching/learning process more flexible and dynamic, among others.

In this research, different educational apps related to the topic of balancing chemical reactions were selected and evaluated. The best apps evaluated by teachers that are included in the teaching/learning process were Chem Calc - Equation Balancer & Element Dictionary and Chemical Equation Balance.

The perception after the use of these two apps was favorable and the descriptive qualification that they were given was: The perception after the use of these two apps was favorable and the descriptive rating they were given was:

Motivating, playful, these apps diversify the behavior of the teacher in terms of use of resources, these apps increase the spaces for student´s participation to help improve understanding of topics, these apps helped to verify that all exercises had been performed.
