The article proposes an analysis of novel Juegos florales as an example of a literature that finds its specific value in the composition of the work procedures. The structural analysis of the story allows a methodological anchoring which seeks to inquire into issues more general involving, in some ways, literary theory and the act of verbal creation. These theoretical approaches are which founded Sergio Pitol productions. The "art of the return" is the descriptive metaphor that refers to the metafictional process or the journey of writing to the point of convergence of procedures and senses.
