FERNANDEZ DOMINGUEZ, Amilcar Orlian. Sustainable Development Goals in a Multidimensional Well-being Framework. Econ: teor. práct [online]. 2022, n.56, pp.175-200. Epub 25-Abr-2022. ISSN 2448-7481. https://doi.org/10.24275/etypuam/ne/562022/fernandez.
This paper examines Sustainable Development Goal indicators from a multidimensional theoretical perspective of well-being. To that end, it presents an extensive discussion of the main theories and conceptions of well-being developing out of subjective as well as objective approaches, thus encompassing from Greek philosophical conceptions such as hedonism to such objective ones as capacities and fair allocation theory. Derived from the theoretical examination, the analysis suggests that while Sustainable Development Goals primarily involve indicators related to the objective dimension, subjective aspects of well-being, as well as other measures of inequality, may be incorporated in several goals.
