This paper is aimed at opening up a discussion about the current stage of capitalism's development by stating that it is a new stage that progresses over that which traditionally has been called "imperialist stage." Hence the ideology and practices referred to as "neoliberal" are the theoretical support of this singular stage. Therefore, the United States is the main reference point for the new "absolute court", as a privileged interpreter of the changeover of capitalism in a global scale; consequently, the hypotheses about crises that forecast capitalism's collapse can be dismissed.
