Age of highest prevalence, 61 to 80 years of age (40%), male patients 92.4%, 45.7% with the most frequent type, IIIb of Nyhus classification, and on the right side in 65.7% of patients. The Lichtenstein-type plasty was the most used in 64.7% of patients. Complications in 14 patients, most often hematoma (5.7%).
