Resumen

NAVA, Ricardo. Deconstructing the event: a certain possible impossibility in genesis and structure. Hist. graf [online]. 2013, n.41, pp.115-148. ISSN 1405-0927.

The aim of this investigation is to put the relations between genesis and structure under consideration, all the while inserting the notion of event in said discussion. Whether it is approached as an invariant, continuity or rupture, the event has not been able to be abandoned from its structurality, if by structure we understand any system whose parts are in active interrelation. Therefore, and, clarifying the objective of this essay, can we continue to treat the event -in historiographical practice- as a unit whose own coherence allows the understanding of present or past facts? In which way does historicity itself affect the structurality of the event's structure? The reflective idea of this essay is sustained therefore, in that not only can the event still be validated as a coherent unit that makes thoroughly present what has already occurred, and that it's proof is in the document, the archive or in media, but also that, affected by its historicity, it is manifested with the impossible possibility of being said, enounced, described and assimilated into our present.

Palabras llave : event; historicity; history; genesis; structure.
