Resumen

FRAGIO, Alberto. An Historical Epistemology of the Anthropocene. Hist. graf [online]. 2023, n.61, pp.251-265.  Epub 28-Ago-2023. ISSN 1405-0927.  https://doi.org/10.48102/hyg.vi61.489.

The Anthropocene evolved from a chronostratigraphic quarrel about the possible existence of a new geological epoch to an analytical device to interpret the present. This article addresses the narrative of the Anthropocene from the point of view of historical epistemology of sciences, the formation of evidence and the emergence of counter-narratives such as the Wasteocene. In light of Armiero, Kant, Foucault and Koselleck’s insights, it is argued that the Anthropocene has become the great collective singular of our time.
