Through the practices of symbolic appropriation approach (window shopping) made by cultural receivers in the Commercial Centre of Santa Fe, Mexico city, we are exploring how "being" in a shopping centre is a way to experience the city. Perhaps the frequent attendance of this space is a way to mark one's territory, to establish a hierarchy, or to claim a part of the city for oneself.
