MENON, Gustavo y IGLECIAS, Wagner T.. Washington Consensus or Beijing Consensus? Dilemmas and contradictions of Ecuador in the 21st century. Am. Lat. Hist. Econ [online]. 2022, vol.29, n.3, e1305. Epub 10-Feb-2023. ISSN 2007-3496. https://doi.org/10.18232/20073496.1305.
This article seeks to discuss the Ecuadorian economic situation in the light of its foreign policy during the dawn of the 21st century. To this end, the investigation analyzes lightly the trade flows of the governments of Rafael Correa (2007-2017) and Lenin Moreno (2017-2020) and, above all, the volumes of loans managed by the respective presidential mandates. The sino-ecuadorian alignment stands out in the face of the scenario of the super cycle of commodities in the experience of the citizen revolution and, later, in an antagonistic field, the resumption of a neoliberal agenda under the presidency of Lenin Moreno.
