FEIJOO, M. S.; ARCE, M. E. y D‘AMBROGIO, A.. VARIACIÓN MORFOANATÓMICA EN UNA POBLACIÓN DE SENECIO FILAGINOIDES (ASTERACEAE). Polibotánica [online]. 2005, n.19, pp.1-17. ISSN 1405-2768.
Morphoanatomical variation in a Senecio filaginoides (Asteraceae) population. S. filaginoides DC "charcao, mata mora", is a white-tomentose shrub widely distributed in arid region of Argentine, characteristic of Patagonia province. It has two varieties, S. filaginoides var. filaginoides y S. filaginoides var. lobulatus (Hook. et Arn.) Cabrera. Morphoanatomical characters and essential oil secretory structures were studied in year seasons. The length of grown up leaf is significatively larger in filaginoides variety for all the seasons. The proportion of area occupied by secretory structures is bigger in the foliar sheet than in the stem for the two varieties. It is bigger in winter for both organs. Schizogenous ducts are larger in number and diameter in the stem of lobulatus variety. Secretory cell’s number is larger, too. The indumentum density decreases with leaf maturity and pilosity reduces by lost of no glandular trichomes apical cell.
