This paper studies the power of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights to supervise the compliance with its own sentences, analyzing the basis of this power and describing how this activity has been usually undertaken. Furthermore, the author proposes a way for Brasil, using its own conviction, to carry out the obligations imposed by the Court in its resolutions.
