In order to contribute to the theoretical and political discussion on women's agential capacity on subordination conditions, this article is based on an empirical research on migration processes and migration experiences of Latin American and African women living in Mallorca, Spain. It shows that in spite of the conditionality of race and gender segmentation on the labor market, the political use of the veil and finding real citizenship are concrete actions of resistance and political identity for immigrant women.
