Several fundamental features of the profound change fostered by the technological revolution establish a framework that allows understanding why the system and educational institutions have significantly modified their curriculum to ensure a timely response to the challenges and the demands brought by a globalized environment. This paper seeks to understand how university level professors appropriate the new curriculum implemented in a higher education institution based on the meanings it has added, which are part of its purpose deposits.
