In the perspective of a semiotics of culture, this article strives to underlini the strategies that Basque nationalism uses for the constructions of a discourse that legitimizes a vision of history along with a justification of their political agenda. This discourse, thanks to a series of semiotic operations (paradigmatic selection and syntagmatic organization through bricolage) of a reelaboration of the culture, succeeds in elaborating a mythic corpus that escapes founded refutation concerning the modatities of what is true and what is false since it has an exclusively pragmatic view of perpetuation.
