Resumen
COVIAN CHAVEZ, Olda y ROMO-VAZQUEZ, Avenilde. Mathematics for life: a proposal for the professionalization of mathematics instructors. Innov. educ. (Méx. DF) [online]. 2017, vol.17, n.73, pp.17-47. ISSN 1665-2673.
Society expects that the mathematics training that takes place in schools provide its citizens with tools to confront different situations and problems in modern life. To create this mathematics training, the professor is a fundamental element. Therefore this work presents a course from a program for online and remote instructor professionalization, designed to provide working Latin American mathematics professors with theoretical-methodological tools (from the Anthropological Theory of Didactics). The four activities of this course- execution, disclosure, design and implementation-allowed the proposal of a route for professors to design and adapt didactic activities for life. This paper presents an in-depth analysis of what the professors produced in the first activity of course, which involved geometry and topography. This activity is crucial for the future design of similar activities.
