We present the theoretical study of the sensitivity of the fotopiroeléctrica technique for back (BPPE) and front (FPPE) configurations, in the voltage mode. The results obtained shown that the BPPE configuration is better for the case in which experimentally the thermal diffusivity is measured. Also, the simulation shows that configuration BPPE is recommendable to measure the thermal effusivity if the thickness of the samples varies from 0.05 to 0.2 mm. On the other hand, when the thickness of the samples is in the range from 1 to 5 mm, the FPPE is more recommendable.
