Mechanical alloys of 40Pb-60Sn (eutectic) and 34Pb-65Sn-1Zn (ternary) were produced through multiple closed die compaction. Differential thermal analysis (DTA) revealed melting temperatures of studied materials. A eutectic like behavior, during melting, was observed in the mechanical alloys formed, even for the first compaction cycle (cc). Electrical resistivity measurements (ρT) were carried out on eutectic, ternary and commercial soldering. For the eutectic MA, an increase in the electrical resistivity of 54% was observed, when compared to commercial soldering. For the ternary alloy such increase was 69%.
