RIVAS HERNANDEZ, Judith Alejandra y PENAFLORES, René Amaro. The Industrial School Trinidad García de la Cadena of Zacatecas (1926-1943). Sig. his [online]. 2021, vol.23, n.45, pp.80-119. Epub 02-Jun-2021. ISSN 1665-4420.
Training for work in Zacatecas was based on the processes that took place in the School of Arts and Crafts that operated from the second half of the 19th century (1862) and then within the Childrenʼs Hospice of Guadalupe (1878). Later this school and charity institution became the Industrial School Trinidad García de la Cadena (1926), whose source of legitimacy was rooted in the popular revolutionary educational project, which was aimed at training technicians or manufacturing operators from the ranks of peasants and workers. The objective of this paper is to give an account of the formative importance of the Industrial School, from its origin, evolution and closure, after weighing local governments the importance of agricultural development over urban industrial training.
