ARIZA OLARTE, Claudia. Epistemological Development Nursing. Enferm. univ [online]. 2011, vol.8, n.2, pp.18-24. ISSN 2395-8421.
Given the importance of the contribution to the discipline of nursing, it is necessary to start from a formal revision of the epistemological development that Nursing has had as a discipline, a science and a profession. For this, the dimension of a conscious formation of a philosophy in nurses is analyzed, and so their relationship with the development of science and its linking to such a discipline by bearing in mind that it is precisely philosophy, an essential element in the integral training of a nurse, as demanded by the current society. Each day, the need to start interpreting and searching for unifying senses to the nurse practice is more evident. In order to acting in good sense and a professional judgment, a strong conceptual reasoning, working upon the nursing epistemological object and deepen into the identities of being, knowing, and doing of this professional discipline are required.1
