Recreation of the debate on the circumstances that led to neoliberalism, and the aspects that gave it ideological consistency to flourish in an international context that nowadays seriously questions it. The author refers to the viability of the neoliberal project and the return to government involvement that global trends seek to overcome. He-highlights the social Issues not dealt with, democratic order and the role of the State as a main actor. Likewise, he offers proposals and insights on social policies that can be implemented in countries like Mexico, immersed in circumstances of ideological fracture and international recession. He also focuses on the redefinition of the State in search of alternatives to find legitimacy and legitimization in a democratic order.
