Resumen

RAMIREZ TOVAR, Gabriela Elizabeth  y  GARCIA RODRIGUEZ, Raúl Ernesto. Transgender bodies modification: experiences and reflections. Andamios [online]. 2018, vol.15, n.37, pp.303-324. ISSN 2594-1917.

Based on the words of three transgender people this article presents a critical reflection on experiences involving chirurgical intervention and body modifications. It accounts for the processes of change that are appropriate by the body and are placed on the side of femininity; placing a different reality upon a body, opening many possibilities, showing alternative sensitivities and other differences. Such processes provide an identity in everyday life and their implications are related to social practice (acts, links and relationships) by assuming and facing other models of relationships included in the sex-gender system implanted in society. Social circumstances that body modifications and other body types involve.

Palabras llave : Body modification; transgender; woman; feminine; experience.
