The migration of Japanese population to Northern Mexico is a phenomenon not widely studied, at least as for Sonora. This article is concerned about the life of an immigrant, and the particular reading he makes about his own experience as a foreigner in this country. This work give us a glimpse of his personal history and some of the aspects of his work journey in Mexico, besides the survival strategies that Japanese migrants and their families used in order to survive and adapt themselves to a country geographically distant and culturally different from theirs.
