DURAN GUTIERREZ, Luis Américo  y  TELLEZ RODRIGUEZ, Jorge. Aneurysmatic lesions as orofacial markers in patients with hemostatic defects. Literature review and case report. Rev. Odont. Mex [online]. 2008, vol.12, n.1, pp.40-45. ISSN 1870-199X.  https://doi.org/10.22201/fo.1870199xp.2008.12.1.15707.

Among the patients with sanguine discrasya, specifically hemostatic defects, there are orofacial markers that reveal the existence of coagulation problems and they are known as: petechiaes, ecchimoses, gingival bleeding, however, there are other markers, not as common, such as aneurysmal lesions with fresh hematic content that will make the clinician suspect about the existence of a sanguine discrasya. The case of a 2.6 year-old male patient is reported, he was presented to the service of pediatric dentistry in the Instituto Nacional de Pediatria, with a post-traumatic osseus aneurysmal lesion in the mandible, conventional laboratory tests did not suggest sanguine discrasya, even though the patient was operated without complications to remove the aneurysmal lesion, but in the second surgical act the patient presented severe coagulation problems that made the clinicians to sent him to the intensive care unit, the aneurysmal lesion was diagnosed later like a Pseudotumor of the hemophilia, consequent of Hemophilia B moderate in the patient, that is why we consider important to highlight that any osseouss aneurysmal lesión with fresh hematic content, could be an orofacial marker of some sanguine discrasya.

Palabras llave : Aneurysmal lesion; moderate hemophilia B; pseudotumor of the hemophilic patient.
