SANCHEZ RUIZ, Fabiola Haidee et al. Comparison between the antimicrobial capacity of sodium hypochlorite and microcyn 60. Rev. Odont. Mex [online]. 2009, vol.13, n.1, pp.9-16. ISSN 1870-199X. https://doi.org/10.22201/fo.1870199xp.2009.13.1.15613.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the antimicrobial capacity of super oxygenated water (Microcyn 60) on bacterial strains that according to literature reports are the cause of endodontic failure (E. fecalis, P aeruginosa); B. subtilis was used as a control. For this study The Minimum inhibitory concentration tests and the agar diffusion tests were used utilizing super oxygenated water at normal concentrations, and then the results were compared with those utilizing sodium hypochlorite at 2.5 and 5 %. The results of this study showed that superoxidized water has non antimicrobial effect over the strains used in this study.
