Peripheral facial paralysis is an uncommon complication of dental and oral surgery procedures. The objective of this articles to report a clinical case of delayed peripheral facial paralysis after the surgical extraction of a third molar, the symptoms began 48 hours after the surgical procedure. Etiology and pharmacological management are discussed. A total recovery after 20 days of treatment was obtained.
