RANGEL HERNANDEZ, Laura. Sentences Handed Down by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and its Implications for the Mexican Legal Order. Rev. IUS [online]. 2011, vol.5, n.28, pp.160-186. ISSN 1870-2147.
In this paper, we present an account of the position of Mexico into the Inter-American System of Protection of Human Rights, the judgments against this country, analyzing their context, peculiarities, the remedies that must be implemented, and particularly the effects that have resulted in the Mexican legal system. It highlights the issues concerning the enforcement of sentences and the specific obligations that flow from them, such as the need to modify rules, judicial interpretations, creating new legal provisions, the performance of "control of conventionality", among others. All this within the framework of the constitutional rule of law.
