QUISPE LIMAYLLA, Aníbal. La necesidad de formación de capacidades para la gestión del desarrollo rural territorial. Región y sociedad [online]. 2006, vol.18, n.36, pp.177-194. ISSN 2448-4849.

The increasing poverty, social inequity, and the emerging of new situations in the rural scenario of latin American countries have motivated the emergence of alternative approaches of rural development, against the conventional ones. The territorial revaluation in the state organization and the socioeconomic development, and the territorial approach of rural development as part of that, have been the most important steps taken in the last decade. Some governments, organized sectors of the society and international organizations of financial and technical cooperation have recognized the importance of this new approach, and started using it in order to study the rural problems. in spite of the relevance of the new approach, one of the still week elements for its implementation is training. The purpose of this work is analyzing the supply and demand situation for personnel training using this new approach, and suggesting some training ways on local management and territorial rural development. in order to do so, i made a systematic research on the theme that included a bibliographic revision, survey and interviews to key people of the region.

Palabras llave : regional development; rural development; territorial development; local development; training capacities and local governance.
