SALAZAR-EXAIRE, Celia. Water management in a colonial urban center: the city of Puebla during the 17th Century. agric. soc. desarro [online]. 2010, vol.7, n.2, pp.155-168. ISSN 1870-5472.
Puebla, the second most important city during the colonial period, became an urban center of great relevance for the New Spain during the 17th Century, when the population required running water services to solve basic needs of daily life. In this article, we present an analysis of the location of available water sources, and ways of conduction and distribution for the liquid, in order to understand the problems that colonial authorities faced when responding to the population's water requirement in Puebla during the second century of colonial life.
