The bite of a recluse spider is poisonous. The scientific name of this spider is Loxosceles reclusa. The effects of the poison can appear under two clinical forms: cutaneous loxoscelism (CL) and cutaneous - visceral loxoscelism (CVL) or systemic. The poison of this spider has cytotoxic and hemolytic actions. The esfingomielinase D is the mainspring of the necrosis and hemolysis with the consistent anemia and renal insufficiency. The treatment is directed to the local attention and to the prevention of the systemic effects. The aim of this article was the controversy of the use of negative pressure system in early stages. We present a paediatric case and its multidisciplinary managing.
