GONZALEZ GUTIERREZ, Alfredo Javier y OCHOA CAZARES, René. Arthroscopic acetabular labrum repair. Case report and literature review. Acta méd. Grupo Ángeles [online]. 2019, vol.17, n.1, pp.56-60. Epub 11-Mayo-2021. ISSN 1870-7203.
Case report:
46-year-old female who claimed right inguinal pain for about one month, with functional limitation of the extremity and pain during the external rotation of the right hip, C-sign positive, with no radiographic signs of coxofemoral impingement, with articular space conservated; a hip arthroresonance was performed, with the preoperative diagnosis of complete anterosuperior acetabular labral tear Czerny and Hoffman stage IIIa.
Objective:
To share the value and precision that we have for the diagnosis and the treatment of the acetabular labral tears with arthroscopic management.
Results:
A diagnostic and therapeutic right hip arthroscopy was done, with the finding of synovitis of the acetabular rim, an anterosuperior acetabular labrum protrusion, with no detachment; during the hip manipulation there was no impingement with the femoral head. Synovectomy and acetabular labral tear repair was done by debridement and thermoplasty of the lesion, with posterior follow-up.
Conclusions:
We do not find concordance between the stadification of the acetabular labral tear by hip arthroresonance and the arthroscopic findings. We must be cautious when establishing a preoperative diagnosis based on clinical and imaging data.
