Using data from the Emif for 2014, we profile men and women of Mexican nationality who were deported to Mexico by U.S. authorities to analyze their labor qualifications and economic insertion in Mexico. The data presents a labor force composed of young males, with twelve years of education, who do not speak English, and with work experience in agriculture, construction and the food and beverage industry. Recognizing the internal diversity of these migrants, especially in regards to time of residence in the United States, is crucial to design public policy aimed at their economic integration.
