In this article the intention is to consider the links between educational legislation at the end of the twentieth century and progressive legislation at the start of the same century, using a historiographical method, related to teaching of natural science in primary education, looking for the antecedents in proposal of methodology from some relevant people belonging to the Instituto Libre de Enseñanza, after a parenthesis caused by Franco's Regime, primary schools once again began to show a vital interest in experimentation and reinforcing the education of science.
