HAMADA, Emilia y GHINI, Raquel. Impacts of climate change on plant diseases and pests in Brazil. Rev. Mex. Cienc. Agríc [online]. 2011, vol.2, n.spe2, pp.195-205. ISSN 2007-0934.
Assessment of the impacts of climate change on pest infestations and disease epidemics in crops is needed as a basis for revising management practices and addressing ways to improve understanding and management of pest and plant diseases under climate change. As the projected climate conditions will probably vary greatly in the future from region to region of the Earth, studies must be conducted under each ecoregion considering its specific environmental conditions. We present a review focusing on impacts of climate change on rising atmospheric CO2 concentration, on rising UV-B radiation, and on geographical distribution of plant diseases and pests of studies conducted in Brazil.
Palabras llave : atmospheric CO2 concentration; geographical distribution; UV-B radiation.
