The objective is to present the profile of orange pickers and the working and live conditions of these. To carry out the above is presented in the first part a description of the profile of orange producer and how it operates production and marketing, in the second part working conditions of orange pickers are described, to discuss how the presence of a weak orange producer prevents to offer better living and working conditions to day laborers. Research proves that working conditions are more precarious than the rest of rural workers. The work is supported by a survey carried out by the Care Programme to Agricultural Workers (ENJO, 2009) and interviews to orange pickers of the area and to producers in the area between 2009 and 2010.
