Resumen

RIVAS-ANGELES, Karina Paola; ALBERTI-MANZANARES, Pilar; OSNAYA GONZALEZ, Mónica  y  LEON-MERINO, Aurelio. Rural women: form the productive project to the microenterprises in Champoton, Campeche. Rev. Mex. Cienc. Agríc [online]. 2015, vol.6, n.6, pp.1359-1371. ISSN 2007-0934.

Public policies increase government funding of rural women's microenterprises to create wealth and reduce poverty in the country. The question is what conditions are necessary for productive projects to become microenterprises? The objective is to analyse, from a gender perspective, financial, organizational, production, trade and social conditions that allow women to move from production to microenterprises projects. The hypothesis is that, the conditions to move from production to microenterprises projects are related to: a) a development policy with a focus GED; b) equitable gender relations in the family and rural society; c) education to read and write; d) job training in line with the market demand; e) administrative and accounting advice; and f) affirmative action to promote affordable financing. Fieldwork was conducted in Champotón, during 2014, applying qualitative methodology with interviews, focus group and participant observation of government workers, financial institutions and women from 4 productive projects. The results showed the difficulties that women face for accessing credit, lack of management training and marketing, organizational structure, infrastructure (transport, storage), and a social environment unfavourable to gender equality. The conclusion shows that in addition to the increased funding for women's microenterprises, it is necessary to consider the serious obstacles in the management of these microenterprises, training, organization, production, marketing and the familiar-social gender environment.
