SEVILLA, Héctor. Man and his Relationship with God from Abraham Heschel’s Perspective. Rev. filos.open insight [online]. 2021, vol.12, n.24, pp.109-126. Epub 04-Jun-2021. ISSN 2395-8936.
The article, centred on the border between philosophy and spirituality, presents the thought of Abraham Heschel, a rabbi born in Poland, about the relationship of man with God.There are various reasons that propose the link between the human project with the existence of God, according to the Jewish philosopher. However, this perspective does not present a divine vision centred on anthropomorphisms, but rather on the recognition of the limits that corresponds to what is human. The deductions that led to the proposition that it is God who needs human being are exposed, thereby breaking the tradition of centering man as a being in need of a unilateral relationship with God. The mission of man is understood, therefore, as an executor of the will of God, which leads him to build better conditions for himself and his fellow men.
