Resumen

ARGUELLES FERNANDEZ, Gerardo. On the arrival of the concept of the world-of-life (Lebenswelt) to literary studies. Rev. filos.open insight [online]. 2021, vol.12, n.25, pp.67-90.  Epub 27-Sep-2021. ISSN 2395-8936.

The concept «world-of-life» (Lebenswelt) has influenced an important series of analyzes in the social and human sciences. However, there is still a lack of contributions that address its potential relevance with a the aim to install it within literary studies. World-of-life indicates the daily environment of the human being in its most genuine state of affairs, before any intervention by scientific discourses. In literature, it seems that the outline of the world responds to that same ontological principle, by serving it as a natural sphere where human experience appears without any predictions or theoretical justifications. The objective pursued by this text is the analysis of this life-world concept in its most basic phenomenological terms and its gradual incorporation to literary studies.
