This study is derived from the concern on the deterioration of the idea of reciprocity between State and Nation, as well as the combination between pluralism and governance or sociopolitical stability. The paper focuses on the revaluation of diversity and pluralism and their influence on the institutions of the current Latin American democracies. Some experiences in co-management processes and indigenous participation in government agencies (focusing on the province of Neuquén) are analyzed in order to foresee the various possibilities of intercultural management and to examine the possibilities of establishing intercultural States.
