To encourage people to travel it is used the taking and selection of photographic images that show the wonders of the destination and give the travelers the opportunity to step aside the everyday life and have leisure and fun experiences. In the case of touristic promotion for the Pueblos Mágicos of Mexico, it exists an official discourse that belongs to the Secretaría de Turismo Federal, where photographic images that allude to the imaginary of pueblo mexicano are used. The objective of this research is to inquire about the content of the photographic images of the destinations declared as Pueblos Mágicos, to identify the recurring elements that allude to said imaginary. For this, qualitative research that considers a sample of 98 digital photographs of the Pueblos Mágicos of Mexico from an internet site of the Secretaría de Turismo has been carried out. These images are classified into four groups by content: Natural Environment, Tangible heritage, Intangible heritage and Touristic experience.
