The purpose of this essay is to analyze the reality of the LGBTIQ+ communities that are under custodial measures in Venezuela, their struggle to survive in contexts of confinement and the defense of their human rights within the framework of equality, emphasizing the government policies and applicable legal instruments. As it is a complex problem, it is approached subjectively, under a humanistic perspective in an interpretive paradigmatic approach, concluding on the need to promote changes for the treatment of LGBTIQ+ groups in Venezuelan penitentiary organizations, from the ontological, epistemological, axiological and methodological aspects Sheltered in culture, dance and theater occupy spaces to soften the difficult prison life.
