In this article, I document a set of linguistic units formed from the Cuban Spanish word pinga. I describe the morphosyntactic and semantic processes that take place in the formation of these units, provide definitions for those units that have not yet been included in Cuban dictionaries, and identify new meanings for some of those that have. I locate the units and meanings in the sample by searching lexicographical works and corpora, and also through participant observation. In general, there is evidence for the high productivity of this word in Cuban Spanish. The sample consists of 51 units, of which only 18 have been lemmatized in lexicographical works. The most common process is derivation, although there are also compound units and a large number of different types of idioms. Semantically, many of the documented units have lost the referential meaning of pinga as the male sexual organ; however, these units maintain the original dysphemistic connotation. Intensification is common: some units intensify what the root expresses and others its absence, which activates the presence or absence of certain semes. Although a pragmatic study is necessary to complement this semantic approach, these units are generally used as dysphemistic substitutes. The documentation, the morphosyntactic description, and the semantic analysis presented in this study contribute to the legitimization of the words formed from pinga that are used in current Cuban Spanish.
