Resumen
INCLAN, Daniel. Two versions of American modernity. Approaches to Hispanic and Lusitanian colonization. Let. hist. [online]. 2017, n.16, pp.69-91. ISSN 2448-8372.
This paper attempts to provide a comparative reading of the colonialization processes in Latin America, focusing on the differences between Portuguese and Spanish, during de construction of Latin American modernity in the 16th century. It follows the theoretical proposal of Bolivar Echeverria in order to set a historical reading that shows the multiplicity of the modern fact, heeding three analytical axes: 1) the configuration of a colonial economy; 2) the spatial transformations; and 3) the shifts on everyday life.
