Resumen

GARCIA MEZA, Norma Esther  y  DE LEON TORRES, María Soledad. Memory, Language and Daily Life in Pandemic Times. Interpret. Rev. herméneut [online]. 2022, vol.7, n.1, pp.41-71.  Epub 03-Mar-2023. ISSN 2448-864X.  https://doi.org/10.19130/irh.2022.1.2701x43.

Guided by the concepts of ‘memory’, ‘language’, and ‘daily life’, the following essay presents seven distinct settings which describe some of the stories that encapsulate the diverse experiences that humanity is going through under the confinement of the covid-19 worldwide pandemic. It is our goal to reflect on the impact that such experiences are having on society and anticipate the many outcomes to which the transformation of certain cultural practices could give rise to. Under the assumption that, even after the confinement has ended, certain collective behaviors and conducts will suffer an irreversible change which will be observed in the radical alteration of our routines, perceptions of our daily life, and how we build our interpersonal relationships, it is our wish to underline the areas of social life in which we can already perceive these transformations. The focus of deliberations here presented do not intend to assert unique and unequivocal answers, but to indicate some directions around which the insights that will become of great relevance are beginning to emerge to understand the path of the socio-cultural changes that the pandemic has brought about.

Palabras llave : memory; language; pandemic; culture; daily life; Covid-19.
